Kitchen Tips: Keeping Eggs Fresh
Most refrigerators come with one of those little racks in the door for storing eggs. They are convenient but not the best way to keep the eggs fresh. It's much better to store eggs in the refrigerator in the box they came in. They will stay fresher for longer but, more to the point, they will not get so cold as to be almost unusable when they first come out of the fridge. Make sure they are fresh in the first place though. Check the sell-by date before you buy and if it is anything less than 5 weeks away, don't buy the eggs. |
